AMERICA

AMERICA

The history of the United States is what happened in the past in the United States, a country in North America. Native Americans have lived there for thousands of years, long before Europeans went there. Mainly English people went. In 1607, they went to the territory nowadays called Jamestown, Virginia.

Who created America?

John D. Rockefeller

John D. Rockefeller, Cornelius Vanderbilt, Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford and J.P. Morgan rose from obscurity and in the process built modern America.

When was the US discovered?

The date of the start of the history of the United States is a subject of debate among historians. Older textbooks start with the arrival of Christopher Columbus in 3 August,1492 and emphasize the European background, or they start around 1600 and emphasize the American frontier.

How did Americans come to be?

By 1733, there were 13 colonies. In 1775, a war between the colonies and Britain called the Revolutionary War started. This war started because the American colonists were upset over changes in British policies. On July 4, 1776, people from the thirteen colonies created the United States Declaration of Independence.

When was the United States founded?

In this sense, it was the first 'new nation'." On July 4, 1776, the Second Continental Congress, meeting in Philadelphia, declared the independence of "the United States of America" in the Declaration of Independence. July 4 is celebrated as the nation's birthday.
